Background Information
Laurel Cavalluzzo, President and Founder of Madison Marketing Communications (MMC), has more than 15 years of marketing strategy and marketing communications experience, and an MBA from the Wharton School in Marketing and Strategic Management.
Laurel has extensive experience working as brand and communication manager. She:
- Served as Marketing Manager for Speedpass, a radio-frequency payment device.
- Developed the off- and on-line brand of Speedpass.
- Developed the brand from a competitive standpoint, and determined positioning of Speedpass vs. competitors (i.e. other payment methods) and the appropriate messaging.
- Formulated the integrated marketing strategy and commcommunications plans for product launches across the country, and executed marketing tactics.
Laurel launched Madison Marketing Communications in 2005. She:
- Currently works with clients on various marketing strategy, branding and communication challenges.
- Some of her clients launch a new brand and require her assistance in developing an integrated marketing plan from scratch.
- Other clients have an established brand and need to realign the marketing strategy with the business objectives. In these situations, Laurel focuses on understanding the strategic goals of the organization and on determining the opportunities to better meet these business objectives via an effective and cost-efficient marketing plan. - Makes recommendations and executes at the tactical level as required.
- Works with a limited number of clients at any given time, to enable her to provide a great deal of time and attention to the projects which she undertakes.
- Works with both non-profit and for-profit organizations.
