Services
I provide a cross-functional set of experience and skill in leadership development, strategic planning and deployment, performance measurement, quality improvement processes, and project management. I have experience in the Baldrige quality approach to excellence, strategy development and deployment and Lean/Six Sigma quality improvement tools, and balanced scorecard methodologies.
Background Information
Marty has over 38 years of leadership experience in government and private business. He has been the President and CEO/COO of three health insurance companies in Madison, Minneapolis and Portland. His expertise is in leadership, strategy development and quality process. He is a Malcolm Baldrige National Examiner (2006 and 2008) and a Wisconsin Forward Award Judge (2006, 2008 and 2009). He led a large Wisconsin health insurance corporation to site visit status for the MBNQA in 2007 as well as received WFA recognition four times. In 2008, his company was selected by Madison Magazine, Inc. as one of the seven best places to work in the Madison area. He serves on the Board of Trustees at Edgewood College, Madison, and teaches a course entitiled "Organizational Effectiveness and Improvement" in Edgewood's Business School. He lectures in Edgewood's Graduate and Professional Studies Program as well.
He has bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Wisconsin and a master's degree from the University of Michigan.
Marty is trained in Lean/Six Sigma process improvement methodologies.
