Introduction
Sharon Bessa Morey is the principal consultant, the heart and soul of Bessa Associates, Inc. Just over twenty years ago Sharon worked for OSHA as an industrial hygiene consultant. After seven years in that position she made the leap to become a small business owner.
"I always wanted to run my own business and, by doing so, have the opportunity to become an expert in occupational health and safety. My education and initial work experience was in nursing. Just by chance I took a position as an occupational health nurse and loved it from the first day! After almost 30 years in occupational health and industrial hygiene - I still love it! Many of my clients have been my clients for twenty years. I cherish those long term relationships and look forward to each new experience. My nursing background has been invaluable in helping me understand and communicate effectively when things get scary or when people get angry.
