Background Information
Michael T. Schumacher, Ph.D., MPA—CEO & Owner
Michael is CEO and founder of Solaris Consulting LLC and Solaris Management LLC. He combines experience in organizational management and leadership development with enthusiasm for research and learning. His goal is to deliver successful, long-term solutions for both private and public organizations.
He received his Ph.D. in Educational Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Masters in Public Administration (Organization Development) from the American University in Washington, DC., and B.A. in political science from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. A native of Germany, Michael has a rich multi-cultural background which includes work in Germany, Poland and the United States.
His broad understanding of organizational dynamics and love for improvement is key to his ability for finding unique and internally-derived solutions designed to deliver the results an organization needs.
He is a member of the Organization Development Network, the American Society for Training and Development, the Society for Human Resource Management (Professional HR Certification), the Madison Rotary Club, Wisconsin Nonprofit Assocation, Madison Area Business Consultants, and the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce. He is a graduate of the 2006-2007 Leadership Greater Madison program.
In April 2009 Michael was relected to his second term to the City of Madison Common Council representing the 18th District.
